MASSAGES

Facial Relaxation Massage...                  (50 min) $55
All of the steps of a traditional facial however using supple massage techniques.  A facial cream is used for this treatment of the face, head and shoulders. 

Thai foot and leg Massage...                 (50 min) $55
Thai Foot Massage is a treatment of the lower legs and feet that involves physically stretching and massaging to open Sen (energy). During this deeply relaxing massage you will a renewed energy for the coming days. 

Swedish Massage....                  (60 - 90 min) $60/hr
A classic oil massage providing deep muscle relaxation, detoxifying the body, rejuvenating the mind and releaving stress.

A system of long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration and shaking motions that apply pressure between muscles and bones, rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart.

Therapeutic Massage....             (60 - 90 min) $60/hr

Works to heat muscles and tendons that are strained or knotted. It holistically treats the body whose aime is to traces the discomfort back to the original cause. It uses specialised techniques to support and speed up the body's own repair mechanisms. The massage is applied directly to the skin usually with an oil lubricant. Passive stretching moves are also employed.

Hot Stone Massage....                            (90 min) $95

Stone therapy is a thermotherapy, using stones to provide both heat and cold and the combination of alternating temperatures can be very beneficial. The heated volcanic stones are used on key acupressure sites and the heat relaxes the muscles, allowing for a much deeper massage. Heated stones can also be placed on the body’s chakras, or energy points, working with the body’s natural energy to create balance both physically and mentally. Alternatively, the stones can be used as a kind of “place marker”, letting the therapist know where more specific massage or treatments are needed.

The stones come in different shapes and sizes and the therapist will select the stones according to your needs.

The special hydrophilic scentao massage oil used is refined from essential herbs which produces a pleasant erroma and revitalizing effect.

Massage for future Mothers... A moment of relaxation for two....                (60 - 90 minj) $60/hr

Specially trained practitioners, use a combination of Swedish and Remedial Massage techniques, to assist with the tensions and pains experienced during pregnancy. These are often caused by the extra weight and shift in the centre of gravity. There are many physical benefits to Pregnancy Massage, in addition to the nurturing and emotional support provided by the practitioner. Massage reduces peripheral swelling, soothes the nervous system, helps to prevent insomnia, muscle cramps and back pain.

Care must be taken during the first trimester but Pregnancy Massage is beneficial throughout the whole pregnancy. Various techniques are used as the client progresses through the pregnancy and massage may be performed whilst she is lying on her side, seated, or on a special table that allows her to lie on her stomach. Once the pregnancy is advanced, she is discouraged from lying on her back as this may cause pressure on deep blood vessels.

Regular massage throughout the pregnancy is also said to shorten labour time and the return to optimal fitness after birth.

BOREAL FOREST ESSENCE
A unique mixes of regenerative and protective essences of the Canadian boreal forest (juniper, black spruce, balsam fir and cedar) are used as the primary inspirations of this line of treatments.

An invigorating massage treatment that exfoliates and stimulates blood circulation as well as rejuvenates and protects the skin.

Boreal body exfoliation... (60 min)$75
An invigorating massage treatment that exfoliates and stimulates blood circulation as well as rejuvenates and protects the skin.

Boreal body wrap  and mask...       (120 min)$140
This replenishing and firming treatment includes a body exfoliation with mineralized cedar powder, a heated body wrap and cedar facial mud mask…. pure pleasure for the senses

Body Exfoliation....                                (60 min) $75
The treatement stimulates the skin leaving it soft and luminess. Focused on stabalizing the hydration of the skin by use of a special oil fortified with minerals and oligo components.

Anticellulite Treatement....                 (60min) $75
Taylored to focus on problimatic zones and reduce the appearence of cellulite.  The epidermus will appear more elestic and uniform.  (not recommended for clients with varricose viens or who are pregnant)

Seaweed Wrap...                            (60 min) $75

A wrap consisting of the application of a warm seaweed paste.  After a light exfoliation, this rejuvenating paste is applied to the entire body followed by a cocooning in a heated blanket.  To finish the treatment, a rain and full body spray shower employed.

Seaweed wraps are know for their relaxing, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties as well as for their ability to re-introduce essential minerals to the skin.  During the process toxins are extruded from the skin, lymphatic circulation is increased and fatigue is reduced. 

Seaweed wraps aide in reducing the severity of other ailments and conditions such as; chronic rheumatism, constipation, excess weight, weight induced muscle and joint fatigue and the appearance of cellulite.
